Privacy notice
Short version: no tracking, no advertising cookies, no accounts and no forms that collect your details.
Last updated 3 October 2026. This notice covers cheapmattresssale.co.uk. If you have a question about it, email hello@cheapmattresssale.co.uk.
Cookies
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie this website sets is a session cookie for the site owner's admin area (under /admin/), which visitors never receive unless they open the admin sign-in page.
Saved list and comparisons
When you press Save or tick Compare, the product names are stored in your own browser (in "local storage") so the list is there next time you visit. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can remove items on the saved list page or clear your browser's site data at any time.
Searches and filters
Searches and filters work through the web address (for example ?size[]=double). We don't save your searches anywhere, apart from the standard server logs described below.
Links to other websites
Links to shops and other sites go through a short redirect on our site (/go/…). We count clicks on these links by recording the date, the link and the page it was on — no IP address or other personal information. Once you arrive at another website, including Amazon.co.uk and other retailers, that website's own privacy and cookie policies apply; affiliate programmes may use cookies there to record that you came from us.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web host's servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type) to keep the service secure and working. These are not used to identify or profile visitors.
Videos
We don't currently show any videos. If we add one, it will use a click-to-play player: nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.
Emails
If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply, and delete correspondence when it's no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you (usually only an email you've sent us), ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you're unhappy with how we've handled it.
